Because I know each of you wants to wow someone on Father's Day with your acute gift-giving prowess, I'm going to present to you something he'll actually love. Forget the tie (he hates suits anyway), forget the Brookstone tchotchke (he'll lose it or will never buy the special batteries for it darn thing) and forget the leather tape measure (he'll trash it). This year, give him something he'll truly love...something that will make him feel like the wonderful man he really is. Give meat :)
I'm thrilled with the discovery of family-owned and operated Robinson's Prime Reserve. No, make that ecstatic. Now I know exactly where to go for a special gift for my special guy. Can I just say what a relief that is? I've got the thumbs up from the Husband that Robinson's can become a yearly tradition. Awesome for me, awesome for him.
So, if your husband or father loves aged-to-perfection-meat (I've yet to find someone who doesn't), appreciates well-designed packaging (each cut is individually wrapped in paper + twine and then nestled into a bed of raffia) and probably suspects you'll never understand what he really wants, then choose 2009 as the year to surprise him. If Robinson's Prime Reserve is supplying five-star restaurants, Presidents, and even Saudi Arabian Royalty, I think that pretty much guarantees it will be good enough for that hubby of yours.

ReplyDeleteI just had an amazing Robinson's Prime filet mignon this wekeend -- we grilled it, served it with an delectable corn salad and paired it with a delicious Chilean wine. My dad loves stuff life this, and I'll get to share it with him so it's the gift that keeps on giving!
