The New York Times has a great article today (see Travel section) about Steak Frites in Paris and the ongoing search for the best rendition. Yummy. They also offer up a "Paris Travel Guide" detailing what to do in 36 hours there, where to stay, eat, etc. Also, with the smoking ban in motion, Paris is a much better (and healthier) option these days.
My favorites in Paris:
1. Galeries Lafayette
2. any patisserie
3. Musee Jacquemart-Andre
4. Monoprix for Petit Bateau children's clothing
5. Musee Marmottan
6. La Regalade restaurant
7. Luxembourg Gardens
What are your favorites? I'd love to hear all about them...
I am obsessed with the Tour de France every July. My dream is to follow the entire tour for three weeks around France and then watch them ride onto the Champs-Elyees the final day!
ReplyDeleteFavorite spot in paris? I'd have to say the nearest Carrefour Grocery store.. I miss the 100 ft long cheese aisle.. and the two yoghurt aisles.. sigh
ReplyDeleteEy? What's this training I'm hearing about?
ReplyDeleteSteph,
ReplyDeleteI have LOVED reading your blog and getting tips on Paris. We are headed to London and Paris next week for our 20th anniversary. I've never been to either and my cute husband said I could pick where we go even though he tried to persuade me to pick Hawaii! The hotel suggestions are great and we'll probably choose one off your list. Do you suggest buying a museum pass before we go (online)?
