the Great Outdoors

• 20 May 2007

The final stages of landscaping our yard are finally underway. The neighbors are singing praises to the heavens I am sure. We are just thrilled at the prospect of having a usable yard and not being the armpit of the street any longer. That's enough to make me sing "hallelujah". I love the Blood Good Japanese Maples and will be placing a few in our yard. I'm also loving the idea of this outdoor dining set for our new patio put in last week. I love that Target has a Smith & Hawken line now. Talk about top notch style and price!

When you're done, please post pics. We are starting on our yard soon.

will do...most of it is done (besides the deck Ben is building) but we are going to have them change a few things so I'll get you those pictures in a few weeks.

If I remember correctly, those Japanese maples do not like full sun. If that's the case, you might be limited to putting them in your front yard? I'm bummed that I'm not able to put them in my front yard for exactly that reason.
