To Do SLC: Blue Star

I love it when old, unused buildings are suddenly renovated and reused. It's so efficient and truly makes the community more lovely. Who wants to look at a dumpy building day in and day out?

A consignment store in the Canyon Rim area went out of business leaving its previous home empty for months. I was so grateful a juice/coffee joint decided to take its place and boy what a revamp they did...it's amazing! The owners added bright colors, exterior murals, retro accents, outdoor seating, wireless internet access and best of all, yummy drinks.

After swimming lessons today we tried the Apple Strawberry Juice (all juices are fresh squeezed), Mango Smoothie, and Chunky Monkey Smoothie (named after that Ben & Jerry's flavor we all adore so). Blue Star offers House of Bread treats too if you want something tasty to munch on as well. They offer kids sizes (refreshing for a juice/coffee joint!) for only two bucks...yes $2! And you don't have to be a kid to order the kids sizes either I found out :)
