stephmodo: Fabric Swatch Wall Project

Fabric Swatch Wall Project

• 04 November 2007

Absolute brilliance I tell you...absolute brilliance. Once again Purl inspires me to learn to sew...maybe someday. Anyway, this is a delightful way to add color (and use up those fabric swatches lying around) to an otherwise dull wall.

I love this project for three reasons:

1. it's allows for extensive creativity in choosing fabrics
2. it's inexpensive
3. it's easy

  1. This is very cute. I have so many fabric pieces that "take me back" to clothes I've sewn for the kids and items I've sewn up for the houses we've lived in over the years. What a great way to remember those times!

  2. We did these in "Homemaking" way back in the early 80s complete with doilies affixed to the top layer of solid fabrics as well... Were we ahead of the trend?
