During this beautiful season of giving and remembering, it's important to enjoy everything about it--everything! Here are a few tips I'm utilizing to make the most of Christmas and to not become overwhelmed along the way, which would of course totally defeat the purpose!
GAME PLAN:
1. Choose simple decorations-
...and make sure you love them. Disregard other pretty li'l thangs you might find along the way. There are so many beautiful ways to decorate but one can't do it all...unless of course you are Martha and have zillions of residences. Appreciate what you see and acknowledge its beauty--and then walk away...and don't look back :)
2. Make a list and stick to it.
If you need to buy a present for "George" for "$15", then spend just that. You can't buy George everything at the toy store. Don't overextend yourself financially...you would be amazed at how little it takes to thrill a child or a grownup for that matter. A little thoughtfulness goes a lot further than a lot of cash.
3. Give as much as you can.
This is a fun one because it doesn't require spending any money. Give of your time, your cooking, your baking, your conversation, your love, and perhaps your unused items that someone else might find use for, etc.! (the latter is great for the whole de-cluttering thing too!) Share all that goodness inside of you.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Best wishes to you!
