I grew up watching Smurfs on Saturday mornings with my sisters and therefore a special place in my heart for anything mushroom. So when I spotted these little fungi, I was brought back a few decades. I would not normally consider mushrooms a holiday decoration but I actually think it works well. They really are cute.If you like the mushroom look also consider the mushroom nutcracker. It's cute and it's functional.

ReplyDeleteMushrooms as holiday decorations make me think of Buche de Noel (Yule Log) garnished with meringue mushrooms-- such a fun, and tasty, Christmas tradition. I made one with my mom years ago and it still sticks out in my memory! I might have to attempt another one this year.
