Unclutter Your Mind
Get in the habit of writing things down instead of trying to remember them.
per Donna Smallin, the One-Minute Organizer
One time I ran into someone in the neighborhood and he took one glance in my car and chuckled at the sight of all my little post-it notes dotting my dash and referred to it as very "high-tech". I laughed because I know it looks quirky, but it's so nice to have written reminders. Once I write it down, I feel myself relax immediately. For this reason, I carry mini post-its and a pen in my car--in a place that I can access very easily and with one hand :)
Recap:
#1 Make your bed each day
#2 Clean out your closet (take out everything not worn in past 12 months)
#3 Clear off kitchen counter tops (remove anything you don't use 2x weekly)
#4 Clean out your car
Note: My friend Carey passed along this book called the One-Minute Organizer and it's suh-weet (one of my all-time favorite 80's terms...along with "dead meat", which I just used the other day in fact!). She has so many manageable tips. We'll keep plugging through this little book.
