Starting with #1

Remember House Beautiful's 101 Easy Makeover tips? I mentioned wanting to start with #1....adding a touch of Lucite to a room. Since acrylic is less expensive and provides a similar look, I'm going for acrylic.

Last week in San Francisco's DWR store I spotted this pretty little acrylic magazine rack. While I would never spend a few hundred dollars on a magazine rack, it did cause the wheels to turn in my head. After a little research I found much less expensive versions here. The site isn't glam like DWR but it offers several options for great prices, including what appears to be a knock-off of this very piece. Oops.
