Bird Nests

Look at these beautiful nests found in nature and now carefully preserved in San Francisco's California Academy of Sciences. You can read more (and see more) here. The online version, however, does not do these exquisite photographs justice so the next time you're at B&N, grab the latest Audobon magazine and take a peek.

Viewing all the beautiful nests in this article also inspired me to come up with some kind of birds nest cupcakes. I'm thinking something like this perhaps. In my mind I envision how I would like them to turn out but we'll see how things pan out. Pictures {possibly} forthcoming.
