stephmodo: Chocolate Bliss

Chocolate Bliss

• 09 March 2008

A serious chocolate craving kicked in Friday night. I decided to make this cake with this glaze (substituted half n half for heavy cream). After the glaze set I cut the cake into wedges and wrapped them up in these. Love this recipe...easy and really really good. Make sure you use a high quality cocoa though for best results--a Dutch cocoa like Vanhouten is ideal.

I had so much fun making and delivering the little packages I forgot to take a picture of my own version but here is a picture of what I was aiming for as I put my own together. Mine was close but I admit, I changed a few things. I used a thin satin ribbon instead of twine and I made a circular scalloped tag out of some extra card stock. Also, I used white parchment paper instead of the kraft brown wax paper you see pictured below because I had it on hand. I had so much fun putting these little packages all together!
