In our household, this is a much-loved website (thank you Abby for the tip!). So loved in fact that the Husband wrote to them and asked how he could contribute to their non-profit organization (p.s. they said to just buy books). The clever lessons and catchy tunes help little ones with their phonics tremendously. Even our little 3-year-old can read some small two and three letter words and he hasn't hit preschool yet. And it's all because of Starfall.com.
* My personal favorite is the zig-zag boy and girl. That song....
We use this website in our first grade classroom. Great mom tip!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this!!
ReplyDeleteAs an educator, I have known about Starfall for some time now, and I recommend it to all parents and even put it in our school newsletter. Thanks for letting everyone know how wonderful the site is. Even my one-year-old finds it entertaining. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI love starfall! I used it with my students that were straight from a foreign country and it really did help with language acquisition. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT SITE AS WELL .... AND SO DOES MADDIE!!! It has been great this year in kindergarten. When she begs to "play" on my laptop we head for the site. I wish I had known about it in Pre-K.
ReplyDeleteJust another satisfied customer chiming in. :) I only heard about this website a week ago, so we're just getting started. My 3-year-old caught on with the mouse within a few minutes and she loved it! I really look forward to her being excited about learning, since she's not in preschool yet either. Hooray for Starfall!
ReplyDeletemy son taught himself to read using this site. i can't say enough good about it.
