stephmodo: Classical Favorite

Classical Favorite

• 14 May 2009

A little while ago I asked your advice regarding classical music choices and many of you shared your favorites...thank you for doing so! I have to tell you readers, your taste is wonderful. Wonderful! I think I downloaded at least one song recommendation from each and every one of you that commented. My classical music playlist is pretty sweet right now thanks to you.

I want to share my absolute favorite though...this album. Listening to it puts me at complete ease and pretty much defines the ultimate in relaxation for me. Add a good read and a cozy blanket and you'll experience a good dose of well-deserved peace.

  1. Oh yes... fabulous choice. A favorite around our house. (and good memories for the husband and I ... we attended an Italian wedding in Rome and Gabriel's Oboe played during the ceremony in the old stone chapel!)

  2. I know I'm a little late with this, but if you haven't heard from Vitamin String Quartet you should give them a listen. They have some classically-based albums, but their main focus is on classical arrangments of contemporary/pop music. One of my favorite songs is their version of "Exit music for a film," originally done by Radiohead.

  3. I walked down the aisle to Ennio, the theme song from 'Once Upon A Time In The West'...it was my wedding day surprise for my husband, he did not know the violinist was going to play it. Good memory.
