It's a...

You know...I wish I could tell you! But this time we decided not to find out the sex of the baby ahead of time. We've never done this before, but since it is our last, I thought it would be fun to head for the hospital come September with all the excitement in the world awaiting us. I can't wait for my husband to call out, "it's a __!". Admittedly, it took a lot of self-control to not find out, but I know it's going to be worth it this time around...even if I have to buy a few yellow onesies to tide us over :)
p.s. Everything looks good despite the health issues of the first 16 weeks. Pfew!
p.p.s. It appears there is a possibility I am a little further along than I thought--yessssss :)
i love that it will be a surprise!! glad you are doing well...
ReplyDeleteHooray! There's nothing more exciting. We waited on our first, and when asked, my husband called out, "It's a BABY!"
ReplyDeleteHa ha.
that is exciting! i think little newborns in white are so sweet, i had almost everything in white for the first month or two.
ReplyDeletewe didn't find out what our last baby was, either. it was so fun to hear my husband say, "it's a boy!" although i knew he was the whole time. :) congrats, Stephanie!
ReplyDeletewe waited with our last one and it was so exciting for everyone!! Even the nurses and doctors were excited b/c it's rare that they don't know. Soo fun!!

We didn't find out for any of our three babies and it was sooooo worth it! There is no surprise like it, in a moment as special as a birth....
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Hope you're feeling better. I love my new chairs and pillow. I'll have to send you a picture.
ReplyDeleteWe did that with our 4th as well and it was so much fun. Of course her favorite color is yellow now...maybe it had to do with all of the yellow and green she wore for the first couple of months:) Congratulations!!
ReplyDeletecongratulations, what a joy!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you! Congratulations!
ReplyDeletewe didn't find out with Audrey and it was so lovely and fantastic...
ReplyDeletelove that you're doing that ;-) + glad everything is going well!

How fun Stephanie! Hope you're feeling much better these days.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWow! The ultrasound/sonograms today are so much more clear! I think you have yourself a thumbsucker!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! That's what we did with the first four, you will LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteWe are finding out this Friday the gender of baby #5, so this is a first for me!
We actually had the ultrasound 3 weeks ago and asked the tech to put the info into an envelope which we took to the mall. We picked out both baby boy and girl outfits and took them to the register along with a credit card and secret envelope. We then asked the clerk to ring us up secretly for whichever outfit coordinated with what's in the envelope.
We waited outside the store, then she brought it out all boxed up. Clay went out of town the next day and just returned, so we are having a big family party Friday for the opening of the mystery box!
You won't regret this decision, we didn't find out the sex of our two boys, and while I hoped for a girl the first time around, I was so excited when it was a boy and then even more delighted when I heard my husband yell it's a boy for the second. It is such a magic moment.
ReplyDeleteAll the best
Engracia
We did a surprise with our second and it was wonderful! We are doing it again with the third it was such fun. You won't regret it! :)
ReplyDeleteWe waited to find out with both of our children and it was fantastic. It's goal to work through the hard parts, because you just can't wait to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl! There aren't too many things left to be surprised about, and this is a good one. Oh, and don't forget you can get orange or green sleepers for a girl too!
ReplyDeleteWe're doing the surprise thing too! Makes it a little challenging to buy clothes, but they'll be plenty of time for that. Glad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeletewaiting to find out is delightful - we did it with all three kids. we figure there are so few naturally wonderful surprises in life that we have to embrace what we can. congratulations!
ReplyDeleteOh, good for you to not find out!!! I so wish I had the self control for that... what a dramatic moment in the delivery room. Can't wait to hear!!
ReplyDeleteI'm an ultrasound technician and I can tell from the image it's a . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
