I'm so excited to see (and consume) this delightful fruit in our local grocery stores finally. Yay! Summer must've arrived sometime last week.
Over at Zupas today I've shared the five most tantalizing cherry recipes on my mind right now. I plan on going through them one-by-one while I have the opportunity to enjoy this delicious, seasonal fruit!

ReplyDeleteMmmm, yummy! I've just harvested a basket full of cherries from the tree in our garden and after eating as many as I can myself I'm now wondering what to do with the remainder before they're over-ripe. I think I'll have to check out some of those recipes......

I made your sour cream blueberry waffles today. So good. Of course, I had the blueberries in my fridge for the purpose of a green smoothing...and instead I ate 1.5 waffles. So, I'm not sure that was the best decision for my waistline. I've been reading your blog for a while now...thinking you look so familiar. Finally, I asked my sister...Of course, Stephanie Hatch, of the David Hatch clan. Love the blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat post over at Zupas. I love cherries too. If I may be so bold, I encourage you to take a peek at a recipe I created for a cooking challenge on a web site called Foodie Fights. I’ve never done anything like this before; it was great fun and I will do it again. The recipe made 6 servings and with only 2 of us here I shared them extras with neighbors. If you want to make your neighbors very happy try arriving at their front door with a dish that includes homemade ice cream. Happy Summer!
