As I'm slowly getting acquainted with our new living space, I find that I keep coming back to this image of Sarah Hicks Malone's playroom (she writes the fab party blog, Sara's Party Perfect). I love everything about it and as I configure my children's small play area here in our home in Seattle, I'll be turning to this image for inspiration. I love seeing how "real" people live--people like you and me--who consider budget, good design, and family when putting together a living space.

Her house is amazing. I love how she makes it feel so personal - snapshots tucked in the edges of frames, etc. - yet also so pulled together and unified. that flow always seems to elude me in my house.
