Ever since Outstanding in the Field announced their 2011 schedule almost two weeks ago, many-a-foodie (don't love that word, but due to the lack of a better, more descriptive word, let's go ahead and just say it) have been scheming, dreaming, and some scheduling trips in order to attend. Admittedly, I am amongst them, at least when it comes to the "scheming" and "dreaming" parts. I would love to spend 5 hours in the middle of a field, forest or beach eating freshly prepared food amongst strangers. Sounds like magic to me!
And then they go and offer European locations this year...sigh.
So, who is going? I'd love to hear when and where :)

I'm going this year in NY and we just bought our tickets, I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI live in San Francisco and know that they do the most amazing evenings out in West Marin- I am dying to go...hope they still have tickets available. The dinner and experience is supposed to be out of this world!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at the schedule the other day, I'm trying to scheme a way into the Austin one!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY want to go! I am hoping to go to the one in the Colorado Rockies.
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I am jealous!
ReplyDeleteSound like fun. I guess I could use it as a good excuse to go to Cork or Cardiff. . .
ReplyDeleteI just learned of this a few months ago, and found they were coming to a location very near me. I don't think I could afford it, but how I want to go!!! Sounds like a dream evening.
ReplyDeleteThis experienced is really a once in a lifetime. If you will be missing this I bet you will be missing one fourth of your life. This is very wonderful and absolutely gorgeous one. A am not inviting but I am just citing the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteWe missed out. While there were seats available for the dinner, we were going to be forced to buy an additional seat (we just needed two) as there were three seats left for the dinner. So we'll try again next year.
ReplyDeleteMy sister just got tickets to the one in Jackson Hole. She is sooooo excited. She and her husband are bringing their chef and manager from their restaurant and their spouses as a thank you.
ReplyDeleteAfter our experience at last year's event in upstate NY, we couldn't wait to do another one, but all that worked for us time-wise was the rooftop event in NYC. Not the image that comes to mind when I think of Outstanding in the Field, but I'm excited to see how they do it. I'm sure it will be fantastic again!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a lovely setup. Dreamlike.
