And the winners of the Plate to Pixel Giveaway are:
AND...
Happy Friday! It's sunny here in Seattle so we are all in a very good mood today. I have something fun to share with you today--something that I hope puts you in a good mood too! Have you seen or heard all the buzz about a new book about food photography written by my friend, Hélène Dujardin, also known as Tartelette? The book is entitled Plate to Pixel and it's absolutely fantastic! Today sweet Hélène would like to offer two of you the chance to own your own copy. To my knowledge, there is no other book like it out there when it comes to styling and photographing food--certainly of this caliber anyway--and I'm so proud of her for accomplishing this true labor of love.
This beautiful book is ideal for anyone who owns a camera and likes to take pictures of the things they make--whatever that may be. It's a book for those wanting to improve their already-blossoming photography skills too. In fact, there is so much helpful information written and depicted on its pages and I can't help but feel it's something I'll turn to often over the years. A very good addition to one's library indeed! As you turn its pages you feel as though Hélène is right there next to you guiding you through the process in a natural way. Oh, and the photographs...they are really, really lovely.
And while just two of you will win a free copy, it would be a wise decision to pick up a copy for yourself anyway; especially if you snag one on Amazon where it's so discounted right now (hurry...just 13 copies left!). Also, if you live near a small, locally-owned bookstore, ask them to consider carrying Plate to Pixel. There are so many people out there who would appreciate this book--people who don't read blogs and wouldn't know about it otherwise. And with that I wish you happy commenting and a happy weekend!
Here is a little trailer to further pique your interest:

ReplyDeleteThis sentence - "The book is not intended for professionals per se. It's intended for anyone who owns a camera and likes to take pictures of the things they make--whatever that may be" - jumped out at me. This is exactly the type of book that I am looking for. Something that's for the everyday person and not just a lot of technical jargon that may take the joy out of trying to capture the beautiful of the moment.
