I'm doing a bit of catch-up so we have two Explore SLC posts this week. Evergreen Framing and Art Gallery (3295 S. 2000 E.) is next up. I stopped by Saturday because I received a card in the mail announcing an annual Spring sale. Confession: I'm a sucker for a great sale, if and only if (isn't that an accounting term?) I already love the store anyway.
I headed over to the gallery (it's 3 minutes away) with L and S on Saturday afternoon to check things out. The sale was pretty good (I found a giant nickel paperclip for my desk for $6) and the art even better. I enjoy the artists they choose to showcase and the prices are reasonable, as far as prices for original art go. They also offer framing and feature some very classy choices. I typically go to less expensive framing stores to save money but going to Evergreen feels more like an experience instead of an errand. It's a beautiful space. Bonus: they have a few toys off to the side for the kiddies so Mom and Dad can peruse the gallery without distraction...in theory.
