Father's Day BBQ

We celebrated Father's Day this year with B.'s entire family--all the siblings, for the moment at least, live in SLC now. It's a rarity and we are enjoying while it lasts. Tonight's dinner was particularly special given that B.'s parents leave tomorrow to serve a Public Affairs mission for our church in Paris, France. I know...you're feeling sorry for them right now aren't ya? :) It was a fun evening and very memorable indeed.

Our menu of all new recipes turned out well (thanks to Epicurious & Blueprint Magazine) and would be perfect for any summer barbeque. This is what we ate:

Mediterranean Rubbed Chicken (from Blueprint--April 2007)
Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes
Corn on the Cob
Fresh Fruit Salad
Farmers Market Greens with Shallot Vinaigrette
Hot & Spicy Baked Beans
Blueberry Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream

Aaahhh...I'm so glad summer is here. Aren't you?
