This downtown treat joint is undoubtedly my favorite in SLC. Romina, the owner, is a purist and I love that about her. She uses Meyer lemons instead of conventional, Valrhona instead of milk chocolate, and butter with a higher fat content than Plugra...ahh yeah. The results? Croissants as good as Paris', cupcakes 100x better than Hostess and tarts that will knock your tastebuds out. I visit Les Madeleines so often that my kids are old hats around there and love to give "Mina" hugs when they arrive. I'm definitely passing on my endless love for treats. "Starving Stephanie" (childhood nickname) still lives on I suppose!
