stephmodo: Vacation Suggestions

Vacation Suggestions

• 12 July 2007

I'm in need of a vacay...or at least to plan a vacay for the future. I am thinking October as it is our anniversary. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My ideal vacation consists of:

1. good food
2. beautiful scenery
3. things to do/see

...and this time--an international location!

  1. hi, you don't know me but my sister is good friends with your sis'n'law caroline - therefore your ADORABLE blog has been passed on!
the picture reminds me of Cinque Terre, Italy; quaint, SUPER cheap (60-70 Euro for ocean views) lots of fun hikes, shops, gelato and highly romantic (my husband proposed there)....we're going there with friends in September and would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY! bon voyage

  3. Amber, it's great to hear from you. Good luck settling into the new house! I've heard good things about BC...I'll look into it. Thank you for the tip!

Danielle, you are right on! The picture is a seaside town in Italy. I love Cnque Terre too...that is an excellant possibility. Where do you fly into?

  4. At this little village you will find a wonderful town square where we enjoyed marvellous gypsy classical music with the mediterranean sea glistening through the ancient bridge, and a wonderful Gelatti shop that has it's sister store in where JENNI lives downunder!!! We met the mom in Cinque Terre and the Son on the Gold Coast - small world.... Grandpa and Grandma Hatch are on grandchildren treat standby... wherever you go!

  6. Need i remind you - just don't drive around DC during traffic time. We'll let you know about Victoria. We're going soon! Italy - wow. The only place we can say for sure is Japan and Taiwan. I love the respective mountains in each country.

  8. Hi steph, so happy to hear you are already a fan of the five lands! we flew into Milan (via JfK and Paris), rented a car and drove through La spezia to Riomaggiore (the southernmost town) and Hertz rental cars come with a GPS so that's definitely a bonus!
