stephmodo: Pay Less for Shoes

Pay Less for Shoes

• 09 January 2008

Recently I stopped by Payless to buy my little guy some shoes. He's growing faster than a beanstalk these days so we are going through shoes like fruit leathers around here. I decided to take a quick 60-second peek at the Women's section given their recent turn to designer looks in the past few years (they are following in Target's footsteps and hiring designers to do special budget lines). I found a few keepers, all under $20, and all surprisingly comfortable. Twenty bucks!!!?? It's downright amazing shoes can cost so little.

Click here to view all Spring new arrivals. I'm curious, can you tell which pair I chose?

You know, now that I think about it, why choose at at that price? Why not pick up a few? :)

  3. I think you picked the brown ones - I just bought the brown & red ones - I hadn't been to payless in ages- loved those picks (they didn't have the yellow).

  5. I don't know what you chose, but I have some yellow heels from j.crew that I LAAAALOVE. I get comments every time I wear them. They just make me happy, so I hope (if you haven't yet) you get the yellow ones. (they are on my family blog www.littlemuddyfeet.blogspot.com

  6. P.S.--surprisingly the yellow shoes go with TONS! They make your outfit pop! I have of course worn them with a simple wrap black dress, brown dress, jeans w/ black shirt, pin-stripped navy slacks--basically with any of the neutrals I add a pop of color w/ the yellow shoes (granted, my wardrobe is limited being 37 weeks pregnant and all).
