Part of our daily ritual was walking Polk Street. On Saturdays, the husband joined us and we usually walked for longer periods of time, stopping at an occasional tag (garage) sale or at the Boulange de Polk for a good French baguette. On that same street was an adorable, tiny, French restaurant called La Folie. The husband and I would pour over the menu and dream of a dinner there...someday we said....someday.

But it's all taken care of now and we are here in the city loving every minute. Tonight we eat at La Folie. I can't wait to surprise the Husband. Can. not. wait.
I prepared a few posts in advance so I'll be updating over the next few days even though I'm out of town. I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your sweetie, your family, your children, and your friends. XOXO
P.S. Another amazing restaurant in San Francisco is Gary Danko. It ranks up with Thomas Keller's French Laundry but is less than half the price. We sold our television on Craigslist in order to eat dinner there before heading off to Boston (but that's another fun story!) and it was worth every penny. I'd do it again in a minute.
Enjoy! What a great surprise!
