Last summer my oldest daughter attended a couple of summer camps at Red Butte Gardens. She didn't know anyone going into the camps but she found herself excited to go each morning to see all the other kids and enjoy the Great Outdoors. I feel it's important to expose my children to situations that are a little out-of-the-box--it's good for 'em :)
I know in other states summer camps are all-day affairs, but in Utah you can find little camps for only 2 or 3 hours per day. We found these short bursts ideal because we still had a good portion of the day ahead of us after morning camp concluded; and, while Miss E. was off exploring bugs and butterflies, I was enjoying one-on-one time with my two youngest.
Here are some fun places around town to consider. Spaces still available!
Summer Camps at Wheeler Farm
Utah Museum of Natural History Dino & Insect Camps
Summer Camp at Hogle Zoo
Etiquette School at Protea Cottage (lads & lassies)
Tracy Aviary Summer Camps
Thanks so much! These are some great suggestions for my kids while I'm in town this summer!
