Maybe it's just me, but making a window bench into file storage never crossed my mind. Look how accessible all that important information is...brilliant I say.
While this is one of those things you want to know about before building a new home, I'd bet that your local carpenter (the kind that install built-in bookcases) could easily replicate this system in any home...new or not-so-new. If you don't have a bay window in your home, perhaps a storage banquette would do.
I'm in total love with this idea. I'm tucking it away in my list of must-haves for a future home right now. I also love your blog. Though I live in NJ, I appreciate your style. It's fresh and fun.
