Easy Organizing Tip #18
• 16 October 2008
Do you have dead space in your entry way or mudroom? Use it up by drilling in sturdy hooks for extra storage. I added one hook for a handbag and then an additional hook for my children's backpacks and coats, making everything they need within reach. During the morning chaos that hangs out here MWF, I find myself grateful we took a few minutes to install these stylish, yet functional hooks. Retrieving everyone's backpacks and coats off the higher hooks is one less thing I don't have to worry about as we run out the door.
On my first trip out and about to pick up hooks, I went to Anthropologie and bought a couple. Then, I came home and realized I couldn't handle the price tag and returned them (this happens a lot when shopping at Anthro). I decided to go "budget" and headed to Home Depot instead. Score!
