Surprise!

The doorbell rang around 7 p.m. Sunday evening. I thought it was my brother-in-law dropping by to pick up some cheesecake I promised him. Alas, it was not my brother-in-law. What I found was quite different--8 people on my doorstep bearing cupcakes, balloons, flowers, favors & lots of good wishes.

I had no idea...
...and I had the BEST time. All the time and effort put forth was positively overwhelming. Magnolia Bakery cupcakes (thank heavens for the internet!), flowers in gourds, pumpkin seed party favors, white and mocha-colored balloons accented with chartreuse green napkins, and chocolate covered strawberries. Does it get any better? I daresay not.
