How cute is this?

I totally want to make this...any idea where one can find magnetic sheets? I'll have to do some phoning around...

You can read how to create this stylin' chart here.

  1. I've been looking for a chore chart myself, one that is simple enough for a toddler to follow. This option is perfect for when he's a bit older!

  3. You can buy magnetic sheets to run through an inkjet printer at most office supply stores. I've purchased some at Staples and some at Office Max in the past. They only make them for inkjet printers though because the magnet is supposed to ruin a laser printer.

After using them a few times, I would suggest putting clear contact paper or some kind of laminate over the printed side of them after you print them because the printing will crack and rub off if the magnet is used often.

  6. I did this kind of chore chart for my kids. It worked pretty well - just need to make the little squares big enough for tiny fingers to manipulate. I agree with Steph, you need to laminate the tops of the sheets after printing or they will smear.

For me....I have decided to go with The House Fairy. I no longer assign chores. It's brilliant. The House Fairy comes while the children are sleeping or at school. If their rooms and playrooms are tidy, she leaves fairy dust, a note and a small present. If the rooms are not tidy, she just leaves fairy dust. Check out the web site by googling House Fairy. A little tacky, but absolutely brilliant!
