I love monograms...especially monogrammed jewelry. The type of jewelry I'm attracted to is usually very simple. Here are a few of my current favorites...some are more "rocker", more "classic", or more "military". All are are pretty sweet in my book. I can see any of these being the perfect Mother's Day gift:

I don't own anything monogrammed, but I am seriously tempted by the simplicity of that Wild Catter's piece. It's lovely.

I have a necklace just like the one you posted from Lotus - but four charms on one necklace with the first letter of each of my childrens name. I love it. They were wonderful to work with.
