stephmodo: After Work Comes {a little} Play

After Work Comes {a little} Play

• 15 September 2009

With the arrival of our first guests (who could not have been more perfect btw), we split to the kid-friendly farmhouse and used the week to take care of business and to have a little fun locally. Our kids were so excited to get to do something non-renovation-related so we made sure to document the handful of outings with lots of pictures. Maybe they'll forget the 11 weeks of stressed-out-parents and just remember the one week with fun parents? Let's hope so as it's back to a few cosmetic projects again this week. Thankfully we are feeling far more relaxed this time...the end is nigh!

#1. Marqueyssac Gardens

#2 Castelnaud

#3 Hautefort (look familiar? think "Ever After"; which was filmed both at Hautefort and here in Beynac too)

  1. I see a girls week coming in my future and a visit to a beautiful renovated castle in France.

  2. I don't care HOW stressed out they may have seen you over the renovation period-- you've given them a priceless gift. And experience few can say they've had. They will THANK YOU immensely. I bet their little psyches are filling at this very moment with career and child-rearing plans for their adulthoods!

  4. It's great to see all of the fun things to do around there... that way WHEN (not if... though don't count on us for about six years or so, lol) we visit and totally stay at your place, we will know what to do! :) I'm sure the kids will remember the trip as awesome. Different is fun for kids. It's just for parents that it means chaos. :)

  8. It must feel good to have things winding down. I can't get over the pictures. I can't get over how S. has changed so much this summer. Less like a little baby and more like a little lady. What a fun summer.
