Tulie Cakes

• 06 October 2009

Last year I ordered a cake from Tulie for my husband's birthday (see "la bete noir" bottom left) and that was probably one of the better choices I've made when it comes to simplifying a holiday or event. I loved having time to spend on other details that day and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! This is definitely the best place in Salt Lake to order a beautiful, well-presented, scrumptious cake made from scratch.

This past week I had the opportunity to sample all of the cakes that Leslie makes at her bakery; while they were all very delicious, a few really stood out to me as particularly exceptional. So without further adieu, here are my top 5 cakes at Tulie...they will not disappoint :)

* pumpkin cake
* german chocolate cake
* orange poppyseed cake
* carrot cake
* la bete noir (dark chocolate)

Those look scrumptious. I think I would have a hard time deciding.

my husband walks to that bakery every once in a while for a snack at break, but nothing ever makes it home.

YUUMMM! They certainly make lovely pastries here in CH, but cakes like this just don't exist. And I miss them! What a great feature. And the pumpkin cake sounds like a DREAM!

Ooh, I will have to check this place out! I'm glad to see you are home, and that La Maisonette turned out to be so beautiful. Let's get together again sometime.

I too love Tulie Bakery. My sister has a friend who is one the bakers there and sometimes she brings some yummies home! Not enough though. I'm going to have to say the Coconut cake is one of my favs!
