stephmodo: Organizing Tip #26

Organizing Tip #26

• 26 April 2010

In an easily accessible container (even a Ziploc bag would do or a more eco-friendly choice, a cloth sack), place a stash of cards--I like a combination of handmade + letterpress cards. Add a nice pen, your address book and pretty stamps and you have everything you need to write a quick note in under 5 minutes. Instead of searching all over the house for all 4 items, you'll have them in the same place! This will not only make life easier for you, but it will ensure the likelihood of those notes actually making it out to the mailbox...and that's always a good thing :)

Above are some simple notes I made this week from papers I already had. Initially I thought I didn't have anything that would work, but after some searching around, I happily found a color combination I liked. I'm guessing many of you have some fun supplies roaming about that would be perfect for such a project!

If you need ideas for letterpress cards, make sure you peek at these affordable options.

p.s. you can find good, but inexpensive pens in the Martha Stewart collection for Michaels Arts & Crafts.

  1. Very helpful! I wonder what other organized pack one could make.

  2. Definitly a great idea. I am ALWAYS rummaging around for stamps!

  3. Well this is adorable! I have some thank you notes to write and what a perfect idea.

  4. Hey Steph, I am catching up on your blog and saw that you're expecting! I am so excited for you! Hope all is going well!

  5. Hi! I do this as well-- but I really like your metallic container--if you don't mind me asking, where did you get it from?

  6. lupin lady: I bought that at a corporate sample sale when I worked for Williams Sonoma. It's a bit flawed, but I love it anyway :)

  7. i keep my post cards and my stamps in a little bag so that i can write them and stamp them anywhere and my addresses are in my phone.

    it is great!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop a line. I really appreciate it!
