• 06 July 2010
We've all heard it before...breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But do you know why? I'll admit that upon some research, I learned some interesting facts about breakfast that simply confirmed what my body tells me, which is that I need breakfast and I can't function without it.
Today, I'm kicking off a little series about healthy breakfast ideas over at the Zupas blog today. If you find yourself in a rut with your breakfast routine, you might appreciate a few new ideas, recipes and some interesting facts about this delicious meal. Plus, I know I'm not the only one out there who enjoys breakfast food for dinner, so perhaps you could count this as a "dinner" post too :)

I can't miss breakfast either. I love my cereal and banana and tea ritual.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, have you ever tried steel-cut oats? I far prefer the taste to that of regular oatmeal--it seems like it needs much less sweetener. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to blueberries, honey, and a little vanilla soy milk on my oats, but my husband swears by homemade strawberry freezer jam!
ive recently started eating more oatmeal for breakfast too. I'm usually in a hurry so I just have my banana or fruit on the side.
ReplyDeletei also love english muffins with some peanut butter, banana, cinnamon and honey. yum!
my favorite breakfast food - crepes. I bet you've got some great filling ideas from your travels to France. I would love to read about them. A while back I posted my favorite recipe and topping. http://nineandsixteen.blogspot.com/2010/06/crepes.html
ReplyDeleteA weekly favorite is egg and soldiers -- soft boiled egg, top cracked off, with slices of toast "soldiers" to dip in the egg.
