Caramelized Fig Ice Cream + other Delicious Ways to Use Figs

We tackled beets last week, and now it's time to focus on another intimidating fresh ingredient--figs! Now that fresh figs are in season (look for the common Black Mission fig at your local grocery store), it seems only fair to give them a little spotlight of their own.
