stephmodo: Five Dollar Mag Subscriptions + Pretty Pots

Five Dollar Mag Subscriptions + Pretty Pots

• 01 January 2011

Yay for a new year! I am determined to make it a good one and am keeping my new year's resolutions simple and few in number (like 3!). I find that the likelihood of me achieving my goals significantly increases when I make my goals manageable and not lengthy. How about you? What are your strategies when it comes to making goals?

While you are mulling that over, here are my week's posts over at Babble's Family Style. I shared a handful of my favorite deals--ones I think you'll appreciate knowing about--especially if you like nice things but are operating on a budget. Enjoy!

Recently discovered: an online outlet for designer linens and home accessories--like this sweet Matryoshka doll pillow by Thomas Paul. I almost always love anything with his name stamped on it.

I thought it was an impossible mission, but I found affordable, attractive Roman shades. Think $30 a window folks. Perfect if you're renting or just on a budget.

I swear, if I could, I'd design a kitchen around pretty bakeware and pots from France-based Staub. This limited edition color, and only available at one location, is at the top of my list. Luscious.

Popular magazine subscriptions for just $5...and these are not lame ones either. Magazine subscriptions really do make the perfect birthday gift for men and women alike.

Fantastic, modern prints for a child's room
from design powerhouse Hable Construction. They would look awesome in a gallery frame above a child's desk or bed. And they are on sale!

Orla Kiely bedding...gorgeous...of course. I would've loved to have seen something like this at Target last year.

  1. Happy New Year! Thanks for the tip on the roman shades! We are moving in 4 weeks into a home that we are building and need window treatments for every window. This made my day. :)

  2. Love those pots! We put them on our Anthro wedding registry last month and were lucky enough to receive them! I mixed the teal Staub with a couple of the Pesto green colored Staub from Sur La Table. It's the perfect color combo - so lovely! Now I need some glass front cupboards so they can stay on display :-)
