Cinch it: Spring's Best Belts

• 29 March 2011

My new favorite accessory is a fat leather belt I can clasp around my waist in seconds. In my opinion, thick belts are more flattering to a woman's waist than skinny belts because they hold you in a little...if you know what I mean! These belts are great with a tunic, flowy top or with a button-down shirt that isn't super fitted I also love the way it's shown here as well--over a high-waisted jean (the best kind of jean!) and a tucked in seersucker blouse. It kind of seems like the perfect transition piece, no?

Here are some of my favorites on the web right now: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

p.s. did you win the Tea Giveaway?

I've been eying that one from emersonmade, but now I love the others too. Think I need to pull the trigger!

This post couldn't come at a better time! I'm doing a spring closet cleanout and noticed a dearth of belts. As a curvier gal I've been a bit afraid of the belt look but I think it's high time I embrace it! Great roundup.

Yes! I love belting because I have no waist and it makes me kind of look like I have one. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the selection at Forever 21 (even though I try to stay away from it for anything else). The price can't be beat.

I've been loving that emersonmade belt for awhile now but she is supposed to be coming out with a line of silk flowers so I'm just waiting to take a look at those to make a purchase. I hope they aren't all gone!!!!!!

Rats, didn't win the Tea prize but I'm so thrilled for the mom who did. Congrats!
