H&M Favorites

• 04 March 2011

Last night I popped into an H&M for the first time in 4+ months and boy it felt good to be in a store full of affordable, cute clothes. My standard H&M protocol is to grab about 15-20 pieces and end up with just 1 item that's fabulous. So I went through my usual routine and snagged {yet another} striped tee...I'm wearing it as I type this in fact. I love a new top--a new anything really--it's such a treat!

My friend tried on an amazing black dress that was just $50...if you need a classic, black dress with a little pizazz, ask the sales associate for this one--it has a half sleeve, a v-neck, an exposed zipper up the back, and is knee-length. Love. And then I popped onto their new site--those lucky northern Europeans with their access to shop H&M online! I'm dying to get my hands on some of their Home items...has anyone seen them in person? I also spotted these two pieces in their webshop (see above image), which of course I didn't see last night. I kind of think H&M's can be hard to shop and it's easy to miss things. So my question for you is this, what is your favorite piece at H&M right now ? What are we all missing?

  1. I'm in love with their maternity jeans- super chic and super comfy. I'm 5'9" and have a hard time finding maternity jeans long enough for a reasonable price but these are perfect (and only $40).

  2. Good news! By the year end H&M will be available online in the good ol USA. Best news EVER. I recently picked up a classic black blazer that I love to pair with everything.

  3. @Ashley--thanks for sharing that great news; totally made my day! We live four hours away from the nearest H&M. I love the long sleeve, button-down t-shirts I picked up on our last trip. Can't wait til they're online for the USA!

  6. i have the same strategy at H&M - grab a bunch of pieces to try on and end up with a few. there is just so much variety and such fun pieces! i love stripes too, so usually i end up with something striped too!

  9. i've got a dish towel and a table runner from their home collection and while cute, i can't say the fabric quality is all that. but i mean, H&M was never known for quality--just cute and affordable. so they are consistent!

  11. I just got that striped pullover you pictured (but in olive stripes instead of navy), and love it.

hunkate, there are actually at least 2 H&Ms in Pittsburgh now, and they've just started carrying the children's line! I went crazy shopping for my kids there the other day.
