stephmodo: Hey Mama

Hey Mama

• 07 May 2011

I hope you have a wonderful day today! I realize that Mother's Day is a mixed bag for some mamas. Some of us love it, some of us hate it, and some of us feel a little of both. I think I fall into the latter category--I feel good about some of my mothering skills, but very much dislike other things that I do. I guess it's good to feel a little of both as giving oneself credit where credit is due is a good thing; also, coming to terms with things that really need to change is equally important.

Regardless of where you are on the spectrum, I hope you have a truly wonderful day, i.e. lots of pampering and a nap :)

xoxo

  3. Thanks ladies! Right back 'atcha!

Erin, the flowers are from Marigold and Mint. This is the arrangement I made during a floral arranging class they hosted. It was awesome! They have the most amazing flowers.

  4. Your flower arrangement is beautiful, I'm glad you shared it, I had been wondering how that class had gone for you. I know what you mean about analyzing one's mothering skills, and I agree that it's useful to step back and see where we think we need to try a different approach, but sometimes (like on Mother's Day) it's nice to just put the criticism (good or bad) on the back shelf and just be grateful for our blessings. It's truly an amazing privilege to have little people in our lives to nurture and observe. Thanks for sharing all that you do and I hope your day was beautiful.
