Pumpkin Recipes

• 20 November 2011

'Tis the season for pumpkin recipes and I'm guessing most of you will be making pumpkin something this week for the Thanksgiving holiday.  If you're still feeling undecided about what exactly to make, I have a few ideas I want to share with you...my favorite pumpkin recipes.  You can't go wrong with any of 'em!

Also, if you've never made your own pumpkin pureé, you must try my super easy method.  Pumpkin pureé is actually very simple to make and will likely make you rethink buying that can o' Libbys next time around :)  Plus, it's just one of those things you have to try at least once...I promise it'll be worth the ten minutes hands on time it'll take you.  Oh, and if you have any faaaabulous pumpkin recipes, please share them with us in the comments!

  5. I loooove pumpkin recipes! Thanks for posting these. Some of my other favorites:

I was introduced to Martha's Pumpkin Chocolate chip squares through Blonde Designs blog - I didn't think I'd like pumpkin and chocolate but they are amazing and so quick. http://www.marthastewart.com/336431/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-squares

These little Pumpkin Cookies with Brown Butter Icing are divine, also from Martha. http://www.marthastewart.com/318741/pumpkin-cookies-with-brown-butter-icing

And finally my favorite pumpkin pie recipe, made with pumpkin and (surprise!) yams. It is unbelievably silky. http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/11/silky-smooth-pumpkin-pie/

    Enjoy....and Happy Thanksgiving!

  6. I do love all things pumpkin. I have made my own puree in the past. But, on Thanksgiving, with all the other preparations, I usually stick with Libby's. I love regular ole' pumpkin pie...with real whipped cream, of course! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

  7. I love Smitten Kitchen's recipe for pumpkin muffins. We make them a lot this time of year. All three of my kids gobble them up (they freeze well too). http://smittenkitchen.com/2006/10/promise-keeper-pumpkin-eater/
