stephmodo: Fabulous Food Packaging at IKEA

Fabulous Food Packaging at IKEA

• 26 June 2012

Yesterday, a miracle took place.

I walked out of IKEA without spending a dime.  Instead, I made a list on my phone of items I potentially wanted to pick up on my next visit, after some thought and consideration.  Some of my favorites actually took residence in the food aisle--a place I had never visited before (am I missing out on anything else?).  It was there that I discovered some fantastic packaging that I instantly took a liking to--the graphics were so clean, crisp and simple.  What a trio!  I made a mental note to pick up some of these cute mustard and ketchup bottles (no corn syrup even!) for an outdoor BBQ once the weather perks up here in Seattle.  They are seriously the cutest.  Oh, and don't get me started on those sparkling pear and apple fruit drinks...adorable.  I'm totally going to plan a party around them.

Any new finds on your end inside our favorite big box store?

  4. Ah I always feel terribly homesick for my time living in Scandinavia when I go to the food section. I could buy one of everything.

  6. You were at Ikea? Girl---I live 5 min away. Call me next time:)

I absolutely love that line of food packaging!

FYI I was at Target today and saw a new line of art supplies called Kid Made. I snatched up the tape really quick--and it might go really cute with that future party of yours.

  8. Carrie, this must be the week of "misses". I just went to Target last night (I usually only go once every 6-8 weeks) and totally forgot to look for the acclaimed Kid Made Modern line. That tape is great and I see what you're saying...

  10. They have the most delicious chocolate! It's so creamy! I'm pretty sure it's made in Germany, so of course it's just good chocolate by default. We never leave without picking up a bar or two!

  11. I almost bought the mustard and ketchup too! What I ended up getting was not about the packaging though. They have this Swedish rye bread mix in a carton and its super easy to make and tastes so delicious and healthy. I do Butter and cheese on top in the morning or open face sandwiches. I also loved my chicken breast I got in their Cafe for $1.99! I also love the Elderflower extract and Lingonberry jam.
