stephmodo: Strawberry Rhubarb Basil Crumble

Strawberry Rhubarb Basil Crumble

• 13 June 2012

Where I live it still feels like Spring (my kids are still in school and I have to wear a coat almost every day), and Spring to me equals rhubarb.  So forgive me if this delicious vegetable has come and gone in your neck of the woods.  It's still alive and kicking in these parts and I simply cannot get enough of it!

Now, if you follow me on instagram (I'm new to it and loving it!), then you know I made this strawberry, rhubarb and basil crumble recently.  But what you don't know is that I ate one for breakfast three days in a row (so good! couldn't resist!).  After all, the recipe does call for oats and fruit...

If this looks like something you'd enjoy as well, feel free to peek at the recipe.  Enjoy!

  1. a new trend! expensive and yourself))))

  2. Hi Steph,

I like how your photos have a 'white' hue verses blue or yellow. I've tried reading up on photography sites and playing with my white balance...any tips? Do you use a filter?

  3. HI Jennifer,

That's so nice of you to say. Honestly I don't know a whole lot about technical stuff like this. I do try to photograph in good, full light if I can. Sometimes if I don't the images are blue-ish, which I like occasionally. I do not use a filter either. One thing that helped me was to take one of Nicole's Classes. Photography 101. I took it from her in person and felt it very helpful.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Spring is rhubarb and strawberry time - oh yeah! I made a rhubarb iced tea couple of months ago and it's the first time I got to appreciate rhubarbs! Now, I can't get enough of them!

  5. It looks delicious!!!
Strawberries will always be my favorite!
