Our most recent camping trip inspired this gourmet version of the American treat that leaves everyone wanting some more; hence, the term "s'more". Read about this campfire dessert with a French twist over at the Cafe Zupas blog. Enjoy!

Those are some of my favorite European cookies!! This is such a fabulous idea.
ReplyDeleteoh yummy! I am always up for trying new things with smores, we have been experimenting lately with different flavors of chocolate.
ReplyDeleteMy mom has been making smores with Lu cookies for the past couple of years and she gets her marshmallows at Trader Joes.
ReplyDeleteYou did an really good job styling this photo. It looks like a Donna Hay image!
ReplyDeletethis is such a fantastic idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the awesome recommendation! I bought these cookies for our camping trip this weekend and I can't wait to try them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I love those little cookies.
ReplyDeleteGenius! How beautiful these are. Way to class up something I already adores. Yes I've been known to roast marshmallows over the stove burners for S'mores.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I hadn't thought of this idea before. Perfection! You don't have to worry about the chocolate falling off and the cookies are pretty sturdy.
ReplyDeleteOh, now that's just too brilliant. Too brilliant, I tell you!
ReplyDeleteI hope to hear delicious reports back from all of you who try this next time you're around a campfire :)
ReplyDeleteAmy, your idea to experiment with different kinds of chocolate is a great one too. Love it!
Starr, that was the best compliment ever!
This is one of those things where you say "and why didn't I think of that". LOVE those cookies.
ReplyDeletethis is seriously brilliant. i've never thought of that and yet i eat those cookies frequently. wow. brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteI would MUCH rather have my smores that way than with crumbly graham crackers, which break the moment you try to bite them.
ReplyDeletethose are my favorite cookies. i can't wait to try this!
ReplyDeletePerfect picture, I want to eat them all, right now!
ReplyDeleteOh my GOODNESS!! I LOVE THESE COOKIES! And never in a million years would I have thought to make s'mores with them! Brilliant. And yes, I agree with Starr, I love Donna Hay's food styling and this looks just as good if not better!
ReplyDeleteYes, YES! And after our tin foil s'more experiment here is my opinion: you roast the marshmallow lightly first then put the s'more in tin foil for the final melting. Tres Bon!
ReplyDeletegreat idea! no graham crackers in new zealand...so I've been brainstorming our options when camping comes around next summer. I went one WHOLE summer last year without smores...how sad! peace, jennifer
ReplyDeleteWe tried this on our camping trip this weekend! I did a single cookie, topped with almond butter, topped with a marshmallow. To. Die. For.

Thanks for the great idea! We made these tonight over a little campfire in our yard and they were delicious. And BabbyMama's right--the cookies are much sturdier than graham crackers!
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing idea, not to mention a gorgeous presentation. I was wondering where did you happen to get the lovely white casserole dish with handles? It's soooo cute! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. Those are some of my favorite cookies!
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria! Here are a few tips where you can find white bakers like this one pictured here.
