A Day Off

Right now, as I type this post, the sun is starting to rise, seagulls are hovering over the soccer field below us and leaves move like acrobats in the bursts of wind that come and go.  My kids are enjoying the fact they don't have to hurry off to school and are instead playing pretend school in the basement (love the irony there!).  We are planning on writing letters/cards, an outing to the MOHAI (we purchased a pass on Groupon last year- and a few rounds of the "clean up game".  I also participate in a dinner swap with a friend and tonight is my night to cook for their family.  I'll be making Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken over baby potatoes...a chilly Autumn day calls for comfort food, wouldn't you agree?
