Gray Sea Salt Chocolate Brownies
• 07 November 2011
I recently paired two of my favorite ingredients--sel gris + chocolate--and created an scrumptious brownie recipe you won't want to miss. Dense chocolate cake with a sprinkling of French gray sea salt is apparently a match made in heaven, as I couldn't stop gobbling them up (I think I ate 6 for breakfast one morning before divvying out the rest to friends and neighbors). I spent the rest of the day drinking lots of water and eating my vegetables in effort to compensate for my over-indulgence :) But, it was so worth it!
You can find my recipe for Gray Sea Salt Brownies over at Cafe Zupas. Happy Monday!

Maybe I need to add a hint of salt to them next time.
Trade you some eggs for some of those...
ReplyDeleteI definitely will try them. love the combination of salt and sweet.
ReplyDeleteHowever, been meaning to ask you about the typeface on your blog. It is very hard to read- at least on my laptop. It is always a relief when I follow a link to cafe Zupas or elsewhere and the typeface is easier to read. Have you considered going a size larger and darker for the typeface?
Wow, those look delicious! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious! I'll be baking up a batch for breakfast this week :)

Any dessert with sea salt is my weakness, putting this on the meal planning board right now.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I am not the only one that can eat that many brownies!
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious. I love the gray sea salt you gave me:)
ReplyDeletecan't wait to try these!
ReplyDeleteOkay-- made them. I already knew they would be hit because the recipe was similar to my regular brownies. But holy awesome--what a fun twist! Can't wait to give these out tomorrow in thanks for the hardwork that went into our Primary Presentation. Thanks Steph!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Salt + Chocolate - what could be better??
ReplyDeleteKatherine, you know I appreciate you mentioning that. I'm really due for a change to Wordpress...for some reason I cannot change any fonts or colors on Blogger anymore. Super annoying. Also, I'm wondering if we see slightly different things on our screens. Maybe throw a screen shot my way? I'd be curious to see what you see on your end.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
