...but I am struggling to say it. I am sorry I haven't attended to you here as often as I'd like this summer. I have so many images and thoughts to share with you (50+!), but when it comes down to writing them all down, I simply cannot find the words. It's as if a cloud descends upon me as soon as I open a draft. Normally posts are fluid and my fingers race to catch up with all I want to say; so I am feeling quite frustrated with the status quo. Has that ever happened to you? If so, I'd love to know what you did to conquer the situation.

so excited to see pictures from the Diner en Blanc. I've totally tried to type things I want to say but just find myself stalled. I just figure it's not time yet :)

It's summer. The heat and laissez-faire of life doesn't help with writer's block, laundry, and meals, says I! Kick up your feet and enjoy the break! xo
ReplyDeleteGet the kids back into school and then attack a project that has been hanging over your head. I find it very renewing to get something "done" that has been hanging around too long.
ReplyDeleteYour blog inspires me so. Thank you for all of your lovely posts.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any suggestions for getting rid of your cloud. I just wanted to say that what you are doing is beautiful. I don't think anyone who stops here resents the more intermittent posting, because when you do share it is definitely worth seeing and reading. It always makes me happy. Thank you for that.
ReplyDeletecan't WAIT for the diner en blanc post. so jealous! yeah, take a break! you deserve it. your blog will be here when the fog clears (and so will we).
ReplyDeleteYou could also post wordless pictures and then just answer questions. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteBut if you do need a break your blog will still be under my "favourites" that I will check back to anyway.
It's really bon appetit. I really can't control to my eating habits.
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way--my blog has been quiet, too. Maybe it is because we need to catch the beautiful weather when we can out here and it just doesn't feel right being in front of the computer lately? (Obviously I've been musing about it, as well. ;) ) I'm embracing the change and have decided that I'll come back to the blog when it calls to me...
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI am pleased to see you again)
It may seem silly but recently, I've found that it helps to think about love. I think of the joy, the excitement, the love that I want to convey and that seems to better guide my thoughts towards the right words and away from writer's block.
ReplyDeleteBut also, I think summer is such a wonderful time that it's normal to slow things down online. There is so much to savor offline.
Thank you all for the supportive words...just what I needed this week. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a note...I know you're all busy people! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks I love this blog these fruits looks delicious
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am pleased to see your blog again
a new reader (and fairly new to Seattle/Shoreline :) )
ReplyDeleteMaybe the "cloud" that is descending is a help rather than a foe. . . perhaps it is a gentle message that you're to look elsewhere in spending your time or efforts. I find that when I stop and listen, and stop fighting... I am indeed led by wisdom to the very things I am meant to do at any given moment. Sometimes we fight those feelings because we don't recognize them as our own inner wisdom, or the gentle voice of Guidance :)
Much love. Beautiful images.
