Since I love little peeks into interesting places in foreign countries, I thought perhaps some of you share the same interest. So here you go...a few recent captures of Merci.
The signature red fiat...which according to Anne was recently painted blue. What? Sacrilige.
Pretty paperie and pendant lights...and some creative visual merchandising for those headphones.
How fun is this neon-filled table? Trends don't stop at just fashion, folks. Nothing is safe!
Dishes, furniture and lots of other heavy things that unfortunately don't fit well into suitcases :( #ifonly

Oh thanks for bringing back to a piece of heaven. Great shot from above!
ReplyDeleteI do wish that when I was in Paris for three weeks that I would have gone into Merci but there was so much else to do! Now I see all about it online. This definitely means another trip!
ReplyDeleteFabulous store! I wanna see those stuff i person. They seem elegant to me!
ReplyDeleteTracey, thank you! Coincidentally, I think I captured the same angle just as Cecilie was walking through the door. Didn't realize it until after!
ReplyDeleteYelle, you must go back. This is my #1 stop for shopping in Paris.
Debie, I hope you get to see it in person...you'd love it I'm sure.
Can't always afford their stuff but absolutely adore the shop and the Used Book Café!
ReplyDeleteLindsey, I feel the same! I find the paperie to be affordable and some of the linens and kitchen items. It's definitely a place where you can spend 10 euros or 1000!
ReplyDeleteI adore Merci!!
ReplyDeleteI finally got to go there for the first time last week and loved it! (Of course.) I was so absorbed in everything, I even forgot to take photos. Oh well. It's definitely the kind of place I'd love to return to again and again... if only for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about this shop but never had the chance to see what it looked like so thank you!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to take a moment to say how uplifting and positive I find your blog. With three boys under age 3 I don't have much time to peruse blogs anymore but this one made the short list (very short list!) A visit to your blog is always provides a little break for me!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "pretty paperie and pendant lights." I know, so corny, but it's so true. I hope that I will get to visit Merci some day ... soon.
ReplyDeletei visited merci twice while in paris and will be posting pics soon in a post about the shop. did you see all the americana and pryrex downstairs? that was so surprising for me to see vintage from the 50s that i have at home!
